Blake’s Voted Best Apple Picking Farm, What’s Next?!
As recently as late 2013, Blake Farms made the decision to join the hard cider makers production club to allow the general public outside of the Metro Detroit area to partake in the enjoyment our apples, unique taste and flavors. Frankly, we were asked to make our products available to out-of-towners and didn’t imagine we would become a nation-wide brand.
That October in 2013 we also officially opened our doors to serve visitors throughout the holiday season and we’ve been doing so ever since to usher in the new year.
With over 60+ years of real-world experience growing and cultivating apples, berries, and pumpkins we have finally stepped into the hard cider arena after much demand.
Here at Blake’s Farm during the fall season we sponsor and host a number of friendly, fun entertainment and activities ranging anywhere from hayrides to corn field mazes, zombie shooting and much more.
Andrew Blake, our Co-Manager of the Cider house and third-generation family member made this comment, “We’re excited to provide a new, high quality product made with Blake’s award-winning apple cider recipe, we put the same care and quality into our hard cider as our trusted line of products”
Co-owner, Paul Blake, a second generation family owner said, “We’re excited to innovate and grow our farm. We know we need to innovate to stay ahead of the industry, and we’re excited to expand right here in Armada, MI”
So where do we plan on going from here? Sky’s the limit. As demand for our unique blend of ciders grows, we expand more each year to accommodate as needed. This was no overnight success as we’ve been around since the 50’s continuing to improve our craft for our enjoyment and your drinking pleasure!
